All Treats & NO Tricks This Halloween!

Trick or treat. Smell my… We all know the saying. Halloween can be an enjoyable time for kids and adults alike. It’s a time when we all get to dress up, eat some candy, play some games, etc. but it can also be a time when tricks become an issue for homeowners. Halloween is a time of home vandalism pranks. While most are harmless, some can be damaging to your home. It’s important to have good homeowner’s policies that will cover the costs to repair them. Some common vandalism pranks include:

  • Smashing Pumpkins

  • Egging

  • Toilet papering

  • Silly stringing

Aside from these, other common homeowner’s insurance claims during Halloween include fire and theft. Make sure that your lit pumpkins are done so in a safe manner. To avoid any of the above from happening to you here are a few tips.

  1. Park your car in your garage overnight

  2. Ensure all your windows and doors are secure when you leave for parties, etc.

  3. Keep your yard well-lit

  4. Be kind to trick-or-treaters

  5. Use flameless candles indoors

We hope you all have a great Halloween weekend this weekend coming. We know we will enjoy costume parties, bobbing for apples, and handing out candy to the trick-or-treaters.
